DURING ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-18

INDUCTION DAY

Newly admitted students of BFA and MFA were welcomed to the College to attend the Induction Ceremony along with their parents to meet the Faculty, Staff and Students on 20th July, 2017.
Mr. Raju Nair, Joint Controller of Examinations, South Campus, University of Delhi, New Delhi, Padma Shri Prof. Biman Bihari Das – Renowned Sculptor and Ms. Anupam Sud, Eminent Printmaker, were the Chief Guests.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2018

College organized the Annual Sports Day on 9th March, 2018, at Karnail Singh Stadium, Northern Railway, Paharganj, New Delhi.

ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL STUDY TOUR 2017-18

College organized the Annual Educational Study Tour 2017-18 from 31st January, 2018 to 13th February, 2018 for the BFA students of 3rd Year. A group of 109 students were accompanied by Dr. Kumar Jigeeshu, Mrs. Sangeeta Kaushik, Mrs. Archana Sharma, Sh. Perdeep Kumar and Sh. Sachin Kumar. The itinerary included visits to the sites of historical – artistic importance and man-made wonders in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

ACHEIVEMENTS/ INTERACTIONS/PARTICIPATIONS/LECTURES/SLIDES/FILM SHOWS

Department of Applied Art organized a three day workshop on ‘Design and Digital Media’ in collaboration with University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.  Dr. Andrew Connor, teaching fellow, Design and Digital Media Program at the Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh conducted this workshop in the Department of Applied Art. Prof. Connor created an installation depicting the UK – India cultural relationship in this workshop. The three days' workshop saw students of the MFA, Department of Applied Art, working in groups to create mixed art projects reflective of the cultural collaboration between the two countries. The workshop comprising interactive lectures saw the students make efforts to juxtapose elements of the two cultures to depict synergy. Students of MFA at the college created a photo montage using images of an ancient map, the Gateway of India and the Glasgow Bridge to depict the earliest trade relations between the two countries being conducted by sea routes. The event was covered by press and media.

‘Lakshya's Game Art Creative Workshop cum Training and Recruitment Services’ was held in the Department of Applied Art to give, a future platform to the students, those who have a desire in the area of character development in Game Art. India has a potential to cater to the demands of the rest of the world in the game art sector of the computer era. Students had an opportunity to explore their creative talents in the study time itself, to get bridge training course and get the placement opportunity before they leave the college. It is a great opportunity and had a platform of training options and future careers of the campus selection.

NIIT visited the college for the recruitment of graphic designers for their design house. They gave demonstrations regarding various activities conducted by NIIT at global platform. They conducted Aptitude Test and viva voice for the same. The college students learnt about various and new softwares. NIIT's Global Corporate Business (GCB) offers Managed Training Services (MTS) to market-leading companies in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.  With a team of some of the world's finest learning professionals, NIIT is dedicated towards helping customers increase the business value of learning and development (L&D) which is design dependent. Across the years, NIIT has won over 34 Brandon Hall awards (touted as the Oscars of learning) jointly with their customers besides being regularly featured as a top company in learning content development and ramification by trainingindustry.com. From designing story boards that help pre-visualize animations and motion graphics for advanced simulations to designing a noir style graphic novel. The scope of work at NIIT is truly unique for our students.

Department of Applied Art also conducted the ‘Nikon India’ workshop of photography in the photography section of the department on 15th February 2018. The students of MFA and BFA; and faculty of Applied Art Department participated in this workshop. Students benefitted with the usage of the professional functions of the digital cameras and its accessories in the present digital era, and also enjoyed the whole presentation and came to know its professional usage in the area of Fashion, Nature, Product, Portrait and Wildlife Photography. Students also learned the functions of the latest visions of cameras now available.

The audience experienced the whole process of photography and post-digital enhancement in terms of light, colour corrections and other editing techniques used in the professional field of photography assignments. Along with editing techniques, students also learned the basic functions of handling professional cameras offered by Nikon group. This was of great help in order to choose and buy professional cameras and peripherals to suit their needs.

This year several governmental opportunities came to our doorstep like ‘Dengue Awareness Poster Making Competition’, followed by ‘Delhi Clean Air Poster Competition’. During the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week, 2017’ by Rites ltd., Noopur Sharma, MFA, Applied Art gained the first prize with reward of Rs. 5000 followed by Garima, Aanchal Jain (BFA) Shalini and Yogesh with Rs. 3000 each. Lakshmi, MFA, Applied Art ranked as 7th in top 12 International Photographers by BAG 2017. Himanshu Joshi received the 1st prize with reward Rs.1000 at ‘Perception 18 – The Fine Art & Photography Society’ of Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. Sakshi received 1st and Shalini 3rd positions with award of Rs.5100 and Rs.2100 respectively, at Udaan Utsav 2018.

Manish Khatri, an eminent designer from IIT- Powai, Mumbai, delivered a lecture in the first week of January 2018 on "The importance of Simplicity in Advertising” in the Applied Art Department. He quoted many contemporary examples of why simplified advertisement is more impactful and explained the benefit of the same. Students of MFA Applied Art enjoyed the lecture and reached the conclusion as to why one has to simplify their advertisement.

Department of Painting  organized for the senior students and the faculty of the Painting Department, an Exhibition, titled ‘Celebrating the Transit’, in Dec. 2017, of their works at the Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi, Chandigarh. Participating members were: MFA Final year students – Pramod, Vikrant, Archana Sharma, Rahul Kamalhasan, Adeesh Babu, Sikha, Mokshita Tanwar, Sajan Samuel, Rinku Chaudhary, K. Viswanath, Naveen and Heera Ahmed; MFA Previous year students–Gyanwant Yadav, Yashwant Singh, Sapna, Sushant Kr. Behera, Sahailee, Harshika, Barkha Saini, Vijay Minothia, Shashidhar Gobbur, Barkha Saini, Shantinath Patra and Sanjana Nagpal. This event was widely covered by the press and television.

Department of Painting organized another Group-Show, titled ‘Celebrating the Transit -2’ for NDMC “Triumph of Masterworks: our National Pride II, celebrating 69th Republic Day, at Janpath, New Delhi, in Jan. 2018. Participating member students were: MFA Final year: Rinku, Heera, Mokshita, Sajan, Naveen, Sikha and Archana; MFA Previous year: Barkha, Sahailee, Shantinath, Yashwant, Anand, Sanjana, Sapna, Vijay, Dev Vrat, Sushant, Gyanwant, Harshika, Shashidhar; BFA students – IV year: Deepak, Swati, Parul, Charulata, Dasay, Ketiya, Chetna, Dinesh, Kirti, Preeti, Kirti, Dilip, Tavleen, Surabhi, Prateek, and Vaibhavi; III year: Richashree, Aastha, Aashi, Kajal, Lagrab, Amit, Sneha, Vandana, Deepti, Deepak, Nehmat and Disha; II year: Sameera, Ajay, Deepa, Adarsh, and Niharika and PhD. students – Aditi, Manmeet and Mohit. These two exhibitions were in continuation of the show consisting of the works of student and faculty in College Gallery in Open House 1&2.

The MFA and BFA – Final year students of the Visual Communication Department, were commissioned by Aahana (the one of the best Resort of India) to create their entire promotional material including Designing, Photography, and Animation etc. for their resort at Jim Corbett. Students were proud and happy about our association and would look at similar opportunities in the near future.

The following students participated Wall Painting at Karnal from Foundation Deptt.: Anurag, Kshitij Rawat, Pankaj Murmu, Love, Tarakesh, Sanjana, Sunil Xess from Third Year Painting and Deepa khushwaha from Second Year Painting. Wall Painting at Faridabad was done by Foundation Deptt.: students Sachin, Anant Jain, Parul Kataria, Farhan Samad, Dikshant, Megha and Rahul Juneja, Romil Sharma, (2nd position) and Abhishek Gupta from Third Year Painting. From Foundation Deptt. Wall painting was also done by Saishha, Himanshu Sharma, Nishant, Nitika Yadav, Ayonika Chandra (1st prize in Shaheed Bhagar Singh College). At Karnal and Faridabad (both places) students who participated from Foundation Deptt. included Kunjam,  Dishant Mehlawat, Manish Sharma and Tarakesh.

National Gallery of Modern Art conducted Art Internship Program during the exhibition of Dhanraj Bhagat at New Delhi. The participating students included Romil Sharma, Parul Kataria, Farhan Samad, Dikshant, Megha and Rahul Juneja, Himanshu Sharma, Anant Jain, Mrinal Panday, Nitika Yadav and Shivam Mishra from Foundation Deptt.; Krishna Gopal and Muskan Nagpal from Department of Art History First Year; Andleeb Shadab and Shankar Kumar, Second Year; Kharita from MFA Print Making Final Year;  Prashant Parmanik from MFA Print Making Final Year and Harshit Saxena from Fourth Year Sculpture.

In Face painting competitions students who participated included Poonam, Kavya, Anant jain, Manish Sharma, Vanshika and Kritika from Foundation Deptt.; Himanshu Sharma from Foundation Deptt. won 1st prize in DU inter college, G Rahul from Foundation Deptt. won 1st prize at  Usha and Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management and Shubhendu Sarkar from Second Year won 1st prize at Deen Dayal Upadhyay College.

In Rangoli making (Inter College DU) the participating students included Romil Sharma, Poonam Kavya Vanshika Kritika and Himanshu Sharma from Foundation Deptt. and G Rahul from Foundation Deptt. won 1st prize at Zakir Hussain College in the same category.

In KV School Nukkad Natak “Kalamkriti” (Poetry Society) from Foundation Deptt. Abhishek Goswami, Bhaswati Gogoi and Manvi Mishra participated. 

In the Ceramic Plate Painting Inter College competition at University of Delhi, the following students participated from Foundation Deptt. Saishha, Romil  Sharma (1st position), Vanshika, Kritika , Himanshu Sharma (1st Prize)

Vatsala, Foundation Deptt., got Scholarship in a painting centre from Culture Resource & Training (Govt. of India) and her work was selected for group exhibition in AIFACS (2017). Ritwik, Foundation Deptt., got nominated for Best Photographer of the year. Saishha, Foundation Deptt., participated in group Exhibition in AIFACS (2017). Sakshi Kaushik, Foundation Deptt., participated in Orissa Parb (India Gate). Anant Jain, Foundation Deptt., got All India Art exhibition 1st position and 2nd All India art online exhibition, Abstract Painting Competition, National Girl Child Day Competition. Farhan Samad, Manas Mehra, Prithvi and Vikash, Foundation Deptt., participated in wood carving 3 Days workshop during the Dhanraj Bhagat show at NGMA. In the  inter College Poster Making competition organized by Delhi University the following  Foundation Deptt. students participated; Nishant, Pankaj Kardam, Pankaj Murmu, Love. Kshitij Rawat, Foundation Deptt., received the 1st prize in Painting Competition in ‘Udaan 2018 Youth Fest’; he also participated in poster making competition in National Zoo. Jay Kedia, Foundation Deptt., bagged 1st position in graffiti at Shahed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University. Sanjana and Dinesh Foundation Deptt., participated in Poster Making Competition in National Zoo. Rohit Kushwaha, Foundation Deptt., got 1st position in North Zone Clay Modeling at A.I.U and 1st position Clay Modeling in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College University, Agra. Rohit Kumar, Foundation Deptt., participated in 2nd Haryana International Film Festival, Indira Gandhi auditorium (CCSHAU), Hisar. Rohit Gupta, Foundation Deptt., got 1st position in national level Indian army integrated HQ of MOD (Army) south block,  New Delhi, 1st prize in State Level World Wildlife Week 2017,  Delhi Sachivalaya, I.T.O, NEW DELHI, 3rd position in State Level  at National Zoological Park (Ministry of Environment Forest),  3rd position in Lalit Kala Academy (1st International Kala Mela), 2nd position in Jamia Millia Islamia (97th foundation day ), 1st position in St. Mary’s church,  Noida Catholic Yuva Sangh and 1st position  in Sri Aurobindo College (Mehak 2018).

Muskan Nagpal, Diksha Sharma, Karan Sharma, Ananth Gokul Das, Riya, Priyanshu, Abhiruchi, Hemlata, Nisha and Swayam Siddha, Foundation Deptt., attended “Wood Carving” Workshop at National Gallery of Modern Art. Shivam Mishra, Foundation Deptt., worked as an intern with gallery of Veda during the India art fair and Kiran Nadar Museum. Masoom Pincha.

BFA Applied Art, 2nd Year, Hemant (s/o Kishor) – Participated in Many Competitions & Fest at the level of college and university during this session and got 26 First, 8 Second and 3 Third Prizes in Book Cover Design, Tattoo Making, Street Art, Graffiti, T-Shirt Painting, Live Sketching, Spot Painting, Rangoli, Face Painting, Painting etc.

Rashika Singhal – Attended wood carving workshop in National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi and Volunteer at First International Kala Mela under Embassy of Maxico organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and also participated.

Bipasha Dutta, 1st prize in freestyle group dance competition at G.D Goenka university. Team coordinator, Team Rangrez, College of Art dance society. Bipasha Dutta, Judge’s special award in freestyle group dance competition at VIPS, Team coordinator, Team Rangrez, College of Art dance society. Pallavi Bora, The Infrastructure People – A Government of India Enterprise. Abhay Varma, 1st position in drawing competition at America spoken language, (Institute of learning English). Sandeep Yadav, Completed 7 days internship programme at National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Hariom Verma, BMW India collaborated with artist like Hariom Verma to celebrate its association with IAF 2018. Swati Mishra, Directed the MIME ACT – “DEAF NOT DUMB” to be performed by deaf and mute students of college of art  at “Karuna – The compassion NGO (Rohini). Tanisha Agarwal, participated in Freedom of Movement, poster making competition by 4tomorrow. Sonu, recommended rover for Rashtrapati rover award 2016 by The bharat scouts and guides. Faizan Khan, Vandana, Padamini Tudu, Rajat Kumar, Pragya Jain, Nupoor Sharma and Sunil Kumar, participation in the International ‘Typography Day’2018 at Sir. J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai. Sunil Kumar and Rajat Kumar,   Internship programme by National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, participated in the Kisme Kitna Hai Dum Reality Show, Una H.P., participated in the wall painting competition by Municipal Corporation Karnal.

Department of Applied Art nominated Abhigyan Jetley a student of BFA 4th year Applied Art to attend the “Akhi” National camp – 2018 organized by Kerala Lalit Kala Academy and Govt. College of Fine Arts, Trissur from 15-21 January 2018 . The camp was spread out in various disciplines like Site –Specific Art, Installation, Photography, Visual Narratives as well as Painting, Sculpture, Print Making and Applied Art with participation of students from 14 renowned institutions from across the country. He successfully participated and learned cinematography technicalities under eminent cinematographer Mr. K.G. Jayant.

BFA II year, Department of Art History attended a Concise Course, ‘Indian art: History and Art Appreciation’ by Benoy K Behl at India Habitat Centre. She has also worked as intern with Sabrina Amrani at the India Art Fair. Andleeb Shadab and Shankar Kumar, IInd year, worked as an intern at NGMA during ‘Centenary Year Celebration of Padmashri Dhanraj Bhagat.’

Avik Dabdas, BFA III year, Department of Art History conceptualized and curated an art exhibition named “Reverberation in the Cultural Skeleton” held from 26thfeb from 4th march 2018 at centre for “Art and Free Expression” at Jamia Nagar.

Gaurav Kumar, BFA IV year, Department of Art History, volunteered for the “Habitat Film Festival 2017” may 2017. He also worked as a gallery assistant at India Art Fair 2017 for Sabrina Amrani Gallery, Madrid, Spain. He curated the Art Walk at ITC, Welcome hotel, Dwarka organized by Vernissage. Currently he is writing about artist’s works under Vernassage Art Gallery. He is also working as a content writer for the artist’s at Sohrab Sepehri Society, India. Prachi Venkatraman did internship with Gallery Ske during the India Art Fair 2017. She worked as a social media intern at Victor Haroon (start-up fashion brand) winter 2017-2018. Currently she is taking a weekend short term course on Indian Cinema: Forms, Idioms, Histories and Technologies at Sanskriti Foundation from 13th January – 31st March under series convener – Jyotindra Jain. Vikash did an internship at Saksham Bharti NGO in summer camp as a drawing and drama teacher. Prerna Ruth Bakhtawar worked under Gallery Ske during India Art Fair 2017 from 30th January to 1st February 2017.

Students from Department of Painting participated in a group show with the prestigious Art Concern, Delhi: Saheilee and Yashwant were selected from MFA Painting. Along with the regular Film-shows screened by Dr. Rajarshi Chakrabarti, important visitors to the Department this year were Chawky Frenn, USA, Jasone Miranda Bilbao, Artist from Spain; Artist, Rohini Devashar,; Curator, Ushmita Sahu and Conservator, Pankaj Sharma. Archana Sharma, MFA Painting Final Year, participated in Group Exhibition organized by an NGO at India Habitat Centre (2017), Global Literary Festival group exhibition Noida (2017); her work was Selected in Pune Biennale foundation (2017), National Art Camp organized By Lalit Kala Akademy (2017), Kalanand Art Contest 2017, Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Artscape, Chandigarh (2017), Narrative Art movement Residency Kolkata(2017) and Reflection Art Studio Residency New Delhi (2017). Adeesh Babu, MFA Painting Final Year, qualified UGC NET exam 2018 and Participated in FICA lighting workshop by Royoyo Fudetani (Japan), June Caboodle an exhibition by Art 4 All gallery New Delhi; his work was selected for Kerala State Award for drawing and Prafulla Dahanukar Foundation, Mumbai (2018).Pramod Jaiswal, MFA Painting Final Year, had his artwork selected in 90th All India Art Exhibition, AIFACS, 2017 and was Awarded for his Drawing in 90th All India Art Exhibition, AIFACS, 2017.

Sonal Garg participated in Cloud Farm Exhibition Ghaziabaad. Shikha Meena, MFA Painting Final Year, participated in All India women artist’s art exhibition by Artscapes 2018, she received the state award by Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation and also attended All India Painting Residency by ICAC art, 2018. Rinku Chaudhary, MFA Painting Final Year, exhibited her work in AIFACS, 2018, Khajurao 2018, she was also selected in AIFACS camp 2018, she received Delhi State award Prafulla Dahanukar art foundation 2018. Vikrant, MFA Painting, participated in exhibition titled ‘Reverberation in the Cultural Skeleton’, Delhi.

Sushanta Kumar Behera, MFA Painting Previous Year,was awarded IPCA Scholarship, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, 2017-18, Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Delhi State Award, Mumbai, 2017-18, All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, New Delhi – 2017 and Research grant Garhi Scholarship Lalit Kala Academy, Bhubaneswar, 2017-18. Harshika, MFA Painting Previous Year, got Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation – Delhi State Award 2018, her work was selected in Art Society of India, Mumbai 100th All India Annual Art exhibition at Jahangir Art Gallery January 2018, she received the Merit Award in 7th All India Women Artists Contemporary Art Exhibition 2018, she was also selected in Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust Workshop/Camp 2017. Sahailee, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in the annual show of Indian Art at Habitat Center – Delhi 2018, EZCC Ganga Art project – 2017 and Miniature exhibition in Kala Bhavan – 2017. Sapna Kumari, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Khajuraho International Art Group show 2017, Mural Art Workshop in Rajasthan, first generation school’s with Gandhi fellows supported by Piramal Foundation 2017, Mural Art project on Swacchta Pakhwara with NCPCR 2017, Mural Art and Katran Art Project with Gujarat State Child Protection society supported by UNICEF and in Jahangirpuri children’s home supported by Prayas Juvenile AID society, Ravi Jain Annual Exhibition, Dhoomimal Art Gallery 2017, National Art Camp ‘Akhi’ organized by The Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi in association with College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum 2018, Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Delhi State Award for Tapestry 2018 and Junior Artist Camp organized by AIFACS 2018. Anand Kapoor Bharti, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Cartist Automobile Art Festival (Jai Mahal Palace) Jaipur, 2017, Ravi Jain Annual Exhibition, Dhoomimal Gallery, Delhi, Goa GAAF Exhibition in Museum of Goa, 2018, Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Delhi Merit Certificate, 2018. Gyanwant Yadav, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Group exhibition “Art& Mart”International festival Khajuraho, MP, 2018, 90th Annual Art Exhibition by AIFACS, New Delhi 2017. Saini Barkha, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Narrative Movements Iinternational Art residency at Siuri, West Bengal, 2017. Vijay Kumar, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Kala Uday Society at Punjab University, Chandigarh2018. Yashwant Singh had his work selected in AIFACS Annual Art Exhibition 2018 and participated in 4 day Performance Art workshop at FICA 2018. Shantinath Patra, MFA Painting Previous Year, participated in Junior Art Camp 2018 by AIFACS, New Delhi 2018, Group exhibition by “BEEHIVE” at Birla art and culture, Kolkata 2018, Annual art exhibition 2017-18 by state academy, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata 2017, Goa Affordable Art Fest by Goa museum, Goa 2017, 16th Annual Watercolor Art Exhibition by AIFACS, New Delhi 2017, Group-5 Art Exhibition by AIFACS, New Delhi 2017. Sanjana Nagpal, MFA Painting Previous Year, got 2nd position in painting competition, Udaan Utsav 2018, National online Art competition, 2nd position 2018, participated in Wall writing and graffiti, Udaan Utsav 2017, Sukriti Painting Exhibition, St. Stephen’s 2017 and received appreciation of her painting in The Times of India newspaper.

The following BFA Painting students participated in the Painting Competition organized by National Science Centre, New Delhi in October 2017, to celebrate the 142nd Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel From IV yr. students there were – Arun Kumar, received 1stPrize, Dinesh, received 2nd Prize and there were Ketiya, Dilip, Deepak, Aastha, Tavleen, Parul, Koushal, Dasay, Arun, Deeya and Megh;from III yr. – Richashree, received 3rd prize and Aastha and Deepak each got consolation prize, others were Nehmat and Deepti. from II yr, Preeti Yadav participated in the competition. Sajan Samuel, M.F.A in Painting Final Year, was part of Exhibitions held at Church, 2012, College of Art during 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, Dhoominal Art Gallery, 2017, All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society, 2017, Punjab Lalit Kala Akademi and NDMC, 2018

Dinesh Kumar, 4th Year Painting, received 1st Prize in a Group Exhibition – Gandhi Art Gallery, Delhi, he also participated in Jaipur Kala Mela (2018) and 1st International Lalit Kala Mela (IGNC-2018), Held Two Man Show with Deepak at Hotel Crown Plaza – Delhi. Shardul Shekhar, 4th Year Painting, was part of a Two Man Show with Vaibhavi at Lalit Kala Akademi, and participated in Group Shows for Worldwide Art Movement, Indian Habitat Center, Open Palm Court; The Indian Academy Of Fine Arts, Amritsar and 1st International Kala Mela. Sheli Gupta, 4th Year Painting, had her work selected in Camlin Art Foundation Exhibition and at the Dhoomimal Art Gallery, Delhi. Abhishek Gupta, 3rd Year Painting, achieved various positions in inter-college competitions, including 1st prize in “Paint Spring”2017 organized by NDMC by Hon’ ble LT.Governor of Delhi, Shri Anil Baijal and consolation prize in Wall-Painting Competition at old Faridabad flyover by Haryana government.  He also participated in 7days Internship Programme and 3 Days International Wood Carving workshop at NGMA. Deepti Gaur, 3rd year Painting, participated in a group exhibition by Finext Inor. Aastha Mishra and Deepak K Tanwar, 3rd Year Painting, participated in a 7days Internship Programme at NGMA. Sunil Xess, 3rd Year Painting, achieved the 1st position in National Wall Painting Competition at “Karnal”, organized by Haryana Government and participated in a 7days Internship programme at NGMA.

Kanika Nagpal, 2nd Year Painting, achieved 4th Position in Dance competition, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, bagged 1st Position in dance competition in G D Goenka University and performed at Sahitya Gyan Trust. Nikita Bisht, 2nd Year Painting, achieved 1st Position in Dance competition in GD Goenka University. Deepa Kushwaha, 2nd Year Panting, participated in spray painting and secured 1st position at Shivaji College and 1st position in Leaf Painting at Ramanujan College, she also bagged 1st position in Mask Painting at Ramanuja College, 1st position in Street Art, 2nd position Canvas Painting at College of Vocational Studies, 3rd position in Wall Art at ITI, Karnal Chowk and 2nd position in Portrait sketching at Kirori Mal College. Chhavi Dugal, 2nd Year Painting, participated in Dance competition and secured 1st position at G D Goenka University. Mahima Ahluwalia, 2nd Year Painting, got Scholarship at Edusewa Foundation and also participated in International Festival Wood Carving workshop at National Gallery of Modern Art. Piyush Gupta, 2nd Year Painting, participated in Picasso art contest (Water color), bagged 2nd position Online and participated in Oil painting on Online. Shubhendu Sarkar, 2nd Year Painting, was awarded 1st position in Face painting at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, participated in Live painting and got 3rd position in sketching at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and got 2nd position in Live sketching at Maharaja Agrasen College. Nikita Sen, 2nd Year Painting, BFA, Volunteered at Serendipity Arts Festival Panjim, Goa and Art workshop (block printing) for blind students in New Delhi.

Kishan and  Anubhuti, MFA Print Making Previous Year, participated in All India Art Exhibition, Almora, Uttrakhand, 2017 and Color of Youth – 6th Maruti Suzuki, 2017. Raj Nandini Yadav, MFA Print Making Previous Year, won the Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Merit Certificate Delhi State, 2018. Tarun Sharma, MFA Print Making Previous Year, won the Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Delhi State Award, 2018.Tripti Sharma, MFA Print Making Previous Year, won the Color of Youth – 6th Maruti Suzuki, 2017 prize.

Akanksha Singh, MFA Print Making Final Year, Bronze Medal Award at Kalanand Art Contest, 2018, her work was selected in 26th Ravi Jain Annual Exhibition, 2018. Dilip Majhi, MFA Print Making Final Year, won Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Delhi State Merit certificate, 2018.Kanchan Kapruwan, MFA Print Making Final Year, Prafulla North Zone, Bronze Medal, 2018. Kharita, MFA Print Making Final Year, received the Haryana State Award, Prafulla Dahanukar Foundation, 2018,  she was a part of Master Strokes National Printmaking Camp Haryana,2017, Group Exhibition in Dhoomimal Gallery, 2018 and did an internship with NGMA New Delhi (on the occasion of Dhanraj Bhagat Birth occasion), 2018. He attended a 3 day workshop at NGMA, New Delhi, 2018 and Orissa Parba Art Workshop (Aakara), 2018. Madhu, MFA Print Making Final Year, got the Sahitya Kala Parishad Certificate of Award, 2018, her work got selected in Dhoomimal Art Exhibition, 2018 and Meri Delhi Art Exhibition Sahitya Kala Parishad, 2018. Maitri Arora, MFA Print Making Final Year, Exhibited in Gurugram Kala Utsav, 2018. Naina Bakshi, MFA Print Making Final Year, received Prafulla Delhi State Award, 2018, she was also a part of Senior and Junior Artists Camp, 2018, and her work was selected for 7th All India Women Contemporary Art Exhibition in Chandigarh, 2018. Prashant Parmanik, MFA Print Making Final Year, did an Internship with NGMA New Delhi (in the occasion of Dhanraj Bhagat Birth Centenary) 2018. He has Selection in National Camp, Ceramic and paper making in College of arts, Kerala, 2018. Sagrika Sagar, MFA Print Making Final Year, has selection in Akhi National Art Camp at College of Fine Art, Thiruvananthapuram, 2018.

Virender Kumar, MFA Sculpture, Previous Year, received the Prafulla Dahanukar Art foundation, Delhi State Award – 2017. Arun Bhandari, MFA Sculpture, Final Year, his work was selected in Birla Academy Annual Art Exhibition in Kolkata – 2017. Priya Gupta, IInd Year Sculpture, Attended a 3-Day Sculpture Workshop at NGMA, New Delhi, Young Artist Sculptor Workshop at Tihar Jail, New Delhi and was part of a Group show by Kala Spandan Art at Mumbai. She interned with NGMA ‘DHANRAJ BHAGHAT’ Internship Program Dec-2017.Harshit Saxena, IVth year Sculpture, participated in an Art Exhibition titled “Homage to the living deceased “Dhanraj Bhagat” at Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S.
