First B.H.M.S. Examination shall be held at the end of 18th months of B.H.M.S. Course. The Examination shall be written and oral / practical in the following subjects:
  1. Homoeopathic Pharmacy.
  2. Anatomy.
  3. Physiology including Biochemistry
  4. Homoeopathic Materia Medica.
  5. Organon of Medicine, Principles of Homoeopathic Philosophy and Psychology.
In order to pass first B.H.M.S. examination, a candidate must pass in all the subjects of the examination. Pass marks in all the subjects (both homoeopathic and allied) shall be 50% in theory, 50% in Practical (including oral).

NOTE: Appearing in first B.H.M.S. home examination (in First week of July) is compulsory for all students failing which students may not be allowed to appear in Final Examination of University. The Second, Third and Fourth B.H.M.S. examination shall be held after 2½ , 3½, and 4½ years of BHMS course. In order to pass BHMS Examinations a candidate must pass in all the subjects of the examinations of the concerning years. Pass marks in all the subjects (both Homoeopathic and Allied) shall be 50% in theory, 50% in Practical (including oral).

After successful completion of 4½ years of B.H.M.S. course, the candidate is required to complete one-year compulsory paid internship (as per CCH regulation). If a candidate fails to complete internship in the stipulated time, he will not be awarded B.H.M.S. Degree Certificate.


  1. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the first B.H.M.S. examination for more than four times or be allowed to remain on rolls of the University longer than a period covering four consecutive examinations (Annual and Supplementary).
  2. No candidate shall be permitted to proceed to the II / III / IV year unless he / she has passed the previous years’ examinations.
  3. The candidate who failed in I / II /. III / IV B.H.M.S. Examination, supplementary examination shall be held for these candidates, normally after six weeks after the declaration of the result of the annual examination.
